As you know, I’m a big fan of sunsets, and having recently returned from the most famous island in the Canary Islands, I want to tell you about the 8 best spots to admire the sunset in Tenerife.
There is something for everyone and for the whole year, indeed here the days are long at any time, for example I was here in February and the sunsets always arrived around 7:30 p.m., contrary to this which was happening in Italy where he usually arrives around 5:30 p.m.
In summer, of course, the days get longer and the sunset usually occurs around 9 p.m., but to be sure, I always advise you to check on Google, writing “Tenerife sunset time” to have the situation up to date at hand.
So let’s see together which are the best spots to see the sunset in Tenerife.

Sunset in Tenerife: the best spots X
1. Mount Teide
The first place I would like to recommend if you want to see a crazy sunset in Tenerife is undoubtedly Mount Teide, the most famous mountain in Tenerife.
I reached this place with guys from the camp during my week of surfing in Tenerife, honestly we didn’t know where to go or how to orient ourselves because the roads are different and we hadn’t made an itinerary.
Letting ourselves be guided by instinct and curiosity, we have arrived this pointa marvelous point of view to wait for the sunset.
There is parking nearby, the place is quite busy so as soon as you get here you will always see people heading in the same direction.
There are several strategic points to wait for the sunset, we chose the one on our left, climbing a bit on the rocks to get to the top where you can sit and enjoy the magnificent sunset lights.
We sip a beer bought in a bar just before 🙂
2. Palm Mar
In this strategic point of Arona, where there are several bars (but I recommend this Chiringuitos), you will be able to admire one of the best sunsets in Tenerife and perhaps in your life.
The advantage of this sunset viewing location is that you can see several other islands of the Canary archipelago, such as La Gomera, La Palma or Eh Hierro.
One of the best places to see a sunset in Tenerife.
3. Chipeque Lookout
Vaguely hidden from the road is this crazy spot from which you can admire one of the best sunsets in Tenerife.
Is found here and the landscape it offers is almost mystical, made up of sun, clouds and accompanying Mount Teide.
4. La Caleta
Tenerife South will probably be the area you frequent the most if you are looking for waves, fun and pura vida.
Enjoy a day to see a sunset in La Caleta here.
There are also many clubs here, as in all of southern Tenerife, and it’s nice to sit outside and enjoy the relaxation and the beautiful warm sunset lights.
5. Playa de Las Americas
One of my favorite places in the south of Tenerife and probably one of the most touristic of all.
Here you can find exactly everything you need. Pubs, bars, shops, grocery stores and of course many surf schools to rent equipment.
Here is also one of the most popular beaches with tourists and above all many points from which to admire a magnificent sunset in Tenerife, directly from the beach or from one of the adjacent clubs.
You will be spoiled for choice.
6. Teno Point
In an absolutely naturalistic context with the magic of the lighthouse as host, there is this point in Tenerife from which to admire the sunset that will leave you absolutely amazed.
It is Punta de Teno and is located here and it is by far one of the best places to watch the sunset in Tenerife.
7. La Arena Beach
Another very nice beach to watch the sunset in Tenerife, not far from Adeje if you are around.
Also from here you can see La Gomera on particularly clear days and here too there are several bars and restaurants from which you can admire the splendid lights of the sunset while sipping a drink or eating typical dishes.
8. Mirador Archipenque
We stay in the area of Playa La Arena to go to the Mirador Archipenque from where you can admire the sunset in Tenerife from a strategic point of the island.
In addition to the beautiful lights, you can admire the cliffs of Los Gigantes.
Undoubtedly one of the best places to see the sunset in Tenerife.
